One was born in Taiwan and the other in Bolivia.

Raised in Jingmei neighborhood, James grew up where street food was a way of life —affordable, delicious, and for everyone.

Alex grew up in downtown Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where street food brought people together in the same way.

Together, Xu Xu's Dumplings aims to bring that experience to Austin, starting with Taiwanese potstickers made fresh.

In Taiwan, potstickers aren’t just food — they’re a beloved tradition enjoyed by everyone, from street vendors to high-end restaurants. These delicious, savory treats have been a part of Taiwanese culture for generations, symbolizing hardships, community, and togetherness. After being in Austin and the US for so many years, we've seen soulless food all around and when it's not soulless, it's expensive.

So we are on a mission.
